The company has informed the Board of Control for Cricket in India about its decision. Due to which there is a possibility of huge losses but Board has not yet given any response. When contacted, both Dream11 and the Board of Control for Cricket in India did not answer Business Standard’s questions.
Another source said, ‘Board of Control for Cricket in India is also evaluating Dream11 as an advertiser, as the bill also bans advertising of real money sports.’ However, Dream11 had a contract with Board of Control for Cricket in India as the main sponsor in the year 2023 and it is valid till the year 2026. This contract was about Rs 358 crore. Board will have to decide the sponsor before Asia Cup 2025, which will run from 9 to 28 September. This will be a very big decision.
